Bred in “Tournament Town,” a Carolina duo named Likk Gang is making strides in their home town widely known for hosting classic NCAA March Madness basketball games. But the Hip-Hop duo comprised of Jaze Guevera and B Rude is playing no games as a duo looks to bring to light one of North Carolina’s most populous cities.
Surrounded by colleges and beaches the Likk Gang is armed with a new single dubbed “Faces” that has already been garnering attention on local radio and among fellow rappers in the streets.
“In my city we really got a stronghold when it comes to the local artists. People got their own sound. Our area is just getting on map as far as a music stronghold, but locally there is a lot to offer here,” B Rude of the Likk Gang explained.
“We got the “Faces” joint that’s getting some nice spins on radio, its about doing your thing and getting your money and its basically about the people around you that are feeling some type of way and the facial expressions they make.”
“Locally they really loving the track and they turning up to the songs,” Jaze Guevara said of the Likk Gang‘s music. “We’ve been on a slow grind out here the past few years and just seeing what responses we’ve gotten. We basically just needed the push behind the record so linking up with Multi Mogul Media was what we needed.
According to Multi Mogul Media right now Likk Gang is pushing “Faces” to internet blogs, internet radio, college radio, small market radio and they already have about 700 spins on various stations throughout the country in less than two weeks.
“We got a whole slew of shit coming for them, but right now “Faces” got ’em buzzing,” Jaze Guevara added.
