Originally from Virginia, Atlanta-based lyricist Kenzie drops off his brand new project titled Six-Seven-’94. The project’s titled symbolizing the rising rapper’s birthday. Kenzie is ready to ”reach the gods,” he states on the intro “PSA.” The entire project’s body of work is a statement to Kenzie’s life going up in Virginia and moving to Atlanta. Laced with 9-tracks and no features, Kenzie finds success over a host of mash ups comprised of soulful Hip Hop numbers from producers Bliss, Jaekwon, E.Jacobs, Mykal Riley, E.Haynes, beatsinmybackpack and Miiikey. Kenzie’s rap scheme draws no direct comparison to emcees of the past but hip hop fans will appreciate the direction Kenzie takes on Six-Seven-‘94 with his sharp wordplay, bona fide skill as an emcee and beat selection. Check out the new project below and let us know what you think.
